Japanese Tests

Do the Japanese letters in the following appear correctly on your computer?

あいうえお

If not, you must change the character encoding setting on your computer before you log in to take the test.

Once the character encoding setting is properly adjusted, the Japanese characters will be properly displayed.  Directions below are for the PC.

To set the character encoding:

-Go to the View pulldown menu on your browser and select "Encoding" or "Character Encoding"

-Select the correct character encoding from the pulldown menu.  (For Japanese, select "Japanese (Auto-Select)".)

You should now be able to read that line above.

Will your test require you to do keyboard entry (write) in Japanese?  If so, your instructor should talk to you about keyboard entry systems.  Typing in Japanese requires that you know how to set your computer to Japanese keyboard entry, and you must know a Japanese input system.
